The 2013 Annual General Meeting (AGM) marks BFN’s first opportunity to showcase how vibrant the advanced biofuels sector is in Canada.

The AGM provides an opportunity for the top biofuels researchers in Canada and key stakeholder communities to meet in person and discuss on issues of central importance to the Canadian biofuels sector. The AGM also enhances coordination of research efforts in Canada, and fosters new ideas for research and collaboration.

Presentations, discussion periods and networking sessions will cover all areas of advanced biofuels research in feedstock production, conversion technologies, combustion and emission properties for newly developed biofuels, as well as social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Meeting Objectives

Maximize interaction between network investigators.
Create stronger bonds between BFN researchers and industry.
Generate synergies and linkages between Platforms and Themes.
Foster new ideas for research and collaboration.
Plan the way forward for the next year of work for BFN; find solutions to weak points.
Brainstorm and find ways to reach our research goals

6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Welcome reception / cocktail mixer at the Holiday Inn Midtown.

20th of June 2013
6:30 pm – 10:00 pm: BBQ Night at the historic Chateau St-Ambroise on the banks of the Lachine Canal Park.

Hotel Reservations (deadline 1st of May 2013)

You are responsible for arranging your own hotel accommodations if you attend the BioFuelNet Annual General Meeting (AGM) and HQP Workshop. A block reservation has been made at the Holiday Inn with a special group rate of 126$ per night (+tax). Click here for your hotel reservations
